A Luxury Georgian Country House set in the heart of Ireland.
Welcome to Lismacue House ...
Lismacue House is a 300-year-old Georgian manor set in the heart of Tipperary, home to my family for three centuries. Approached by a gracious lime tree avenue and looking out across parkland to the splendour of the Galtee Mountains, the house stands within 200 acres — a place to slow down, gather, and be surrounded by quiet grandeur.
Nine bedrooms span two beautifully renovated wings, offering space for private stays, exclusive house hire, and intimate weddings and gatherings. Lismacue is also ideally placed for exploring the surrounding golf courses, heritage towns, fishing, horse riding, and walking trails.
Three centuries of family care have shaped a house that blends old-world elegance with modern comfort. I look forward to welcoming you myself…

Reception rooms
Lismacue House unfolds through a sequence of classically proportioned reception rooms — a drawing room, dining room, breakfast room, and library, each with its own character and charm. Log fires warm the principal rooms on cooler evenings, complemented by full central heating throughout, while the original pine shutters remain on every window — a quiet nod to the house’s Georgian craftsmanship.
Bedrooms
A sweeping staircase leads you from the entrance hall to the guest rooms above. Sample a gracious country life with all the comforts of modern living at Lismacue House — our guests have access to nine luxurious and comfortable double/twin bedrooms, spread across two beautifully renovated wings.
Heritage & History
Lismacue House is perfectly placed for exploring some of Ireland’s finest heritage sites. The Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland’s most iconic historic monuments, is just a short drive away, as is Cahir Castle, one of the country’s largest and best-preserved castles. Whether you’re drawn to ancient history or simply love a beautiful ruin, this corner of Tipperary has plenty to discover.
Country Pursuits
Beyond the house, the surrounding countryside invites you to slow down and get outdoors. Cast a line for trout along the River Ara, which runs right through the estate, or venture further afield to the River Suir for trout and salmon. Take to the fairways at Tipperary Golf Club, set against the backdrop of the Galtee Mountains, or one of the other nearby courses. For those who prefer to explore on foot or on horseback, the hills and trails nearby offer wonderful horse riding, walking, and hill climbing.
